sunday!

one more day to reporting to new unit. tmr have to report to police academy at old chua chu kang road. its damn far and have to report at 8am. but at least i'm looking forward to this new challenge, as a police officer and oct. totally unexpected but i'm quite happy though. a lot of people told me that it was a good posting and i'm sure that it is. hopefully i'll learn something new, new skills and meeting new people. the first thought on my mind when i received the posting was 'hahaha, what the hell!? thank God!' and that everybody, okay most, when they meet me they'll be like ' eh you Ns ah? where police?' then i'll be like 'why you straightaway say police sia?' and the most famous answer i got was 'because you Malay what!' hahahah. sometimes when i think back, its quite funny. i fulfilled the wishes of these few people right?

now at least i'm venturing into another place where it has more urban operations, more to the reality of life. i'm excited of the things to come and i hope life is better in the police. i'm going to pack my stuff for tmr so that later i can watch soccer without having to worry about my stuff. Dear God, i just hope for a better life!

this is life.

woah, the block leave really past by very fast. from one week and a half now to just a few days left. so much to prepare, so much to do and tomorrow is the posting. excited yet anxious but i'm just. hoping for the best. playing soccer just now at the cage was good. at least i exercised after a few days i didnt. i need to start running to get myself back to full fitness (sounds familiar eh?). haven't been doing anything healthy for the past few days. all i did was eat, eat, eat, eat an more eating. haha my stomach is now getting rounder.

i've been going out also, like i said in the past entry meeting my friends and at the same time doing so many activities. trying to squeeze as mush as possible and make use of this free time while i still can.

for now, i'll just leave my entry to this. tmr is good friday, family time. eating out for breakfast, return the instruments, meet my friend ad hopefully i can get back and continue my packing. and yes cant forget this sunday, MAN U vs liverpool.

ciao!

weekend

since the POP, i've been quite busy and staying up till late due to many circumstances. i'm like trying to cramp up as many activities as possible and try to meet up with many people to catch up and keep myself updated. anyway, for the past few days i've been jetting around from places to places from band prac to my sec sch. for my band, we had just finish 2 performances, even though they were not major ones, we enjoyed ourselves. not great, still have much to touch up on but at least there was togetherness and enjoyment. "Grooving to beats differently". then straightaway on saturday about 10pm, went to my sec sch with my band mates to help out with the NUS interschool poetry writing and recital comp. it was great seeing the guys again practising and having an overnight camp just to make sure that they are sure of what they are doing. as responsible alumni (ahem!) we helped out, thought them a few stuff passed down our knowledge and hopefully they gained something from us. if not wasted sia. hahah, hopefully they'll do as well as the past few years.

four days have zoomed by and left with just one week before RTU. aiyoh, some people can actually say that i'm bored and all but actually time passes by very quickly. now, need to start training back to regain my fitness and not suffer on the first day. then i'm going to use this one week to meet up, play soccer, start on my poetry and hopefully at the same time get enough of rest. so slowly i'll schedule my plan so that it just fits nicely and i'll still have time for myself. tmr i'm meeting my NS buddies for a section get together to celebrate a few people's birthday. movies (for the first time in like dont know when) and then end off with dinner.

i've been put on task to write for next year's poetry writing and recital comp. mine was rejected once cos it was too structured and boring. so i hope this time around it would be a better piece, more mature and simple to understand. so if any body have any great suggestions, help me out okay. by the way, its to be in malay, haah!

for now, i'm just sitting down and idling waiting to fall asleep. i hope its soon.

double!

yesterday was one of the most memorable day of my life. i celebrated 2 occasions, my POP and birthday. what a coincidence it was that it occurred on the same day. the rain summed it all up with a splash of puddle celebration on the parade ground itself. thank you my buddies for making the birthday a special one.

but firstly, i'm sorry to those who came here for updates but didnt get any. since enlistment, its either i'm too tired or too lazy to blog cos i've other things to do( wash dirty clothes etc.). sorry eilania for making this blog like a dead one. from now, i'll try my best to keep you guys updated and to stay in touch.

i'll not blog about ns nor the army nor anything associated with that. enough that people know that i have managed to go through the first 2 months safely. now its time to wait for my posting and apply for a place in uni. my A level results was really an unexpected one. thought seriously i'm gonna do badly but thankfully i did okay, even though its okay only lah. seeing rachel and most others getting As, i didnt. that was the only sad part. nevertheless, it was my best effort that i put in and i'm very satisfied with what i achieved. i fully deserve what i got.

effort=results

now, i'm hoping that i can get into the uni/course that i want. hopefully i can get my pol sci course in either nus or smu. alternatively, the comm studies in ntu. now what i can just do is apply and pray that i get in. hmm, on the results day, eilania, where did you go? didnt see you. hopefully you can get back to me what happened to you sia.

now i'm on a week's block leave after pop. hopefully i can get to ocs. money or prestige, or the rank or whatever, it doesnt matter. like what my pc said, since you have no choice, might as well make the best out of it. after going through all the grenades, m16 and route marches, thats what i should do. make the best of what i have to do and try to excel in it. from bmt, i learn alot about working together and assuming the role of a leader and it really helps that you earn the respect of your buddies and not force the respect from them.

i hope the best from the options that are available to me. now i can just wait, relax and enjoy my break before starting another chapter in the army. i want to meet up with A6! guys contact me soon!

counting down the days.

more than a month since i last posted anything at all. why you may ask? was busy doing all the planned activities and going out with my cousins. and by the time i get home i was too tired already. i'm not going to reflect much about 2007 but what i can say in my first post of the year is that it has been a great year on the whole outlook. end of year performance with FP was great. ended the year with the much needed oomph. haha yeah! busy busy year has passed. now move on to the next chapter- the Army.

but before i move on to that, surprisingly despite passing only one H2 subject in my whole 2 years of jc life, i received a good progress award from the CC and SAJC. how come? haha, my dad told me 'don't need to think they give you then just take la.' so i mean from passing nothing at all to passing a subject was a huge 'progress'. i'm not going to question it anymore.

okay, i will be enlisting this friday 11th jan. so it will be another 3 more days of freedom before i face confinement. it will be a new environment, new people and hopefully a well spent NS time. at least on my day i have daniel, and timothy (A7) and a few others that i've not asked. quite excited actually to begin a new life in army and where men becomes more mature and 'man of steel'. hahahah. i feel like i've nothing else to say. i really miss going back to school and hanging out with my fellow A6 people and i hope they're doing very well with their life now. see you guys soon on the results day. SOON!

a month of play and play

the 4th of december. yes nicole, A level has finished, i know that. see when the post was written la. anyway, its good that any major examinations has finished and takes a break until i (hopefully) get to university. speaking of life now, it just seems to be play, play, play. okay, and eat also but not much of sleep. i've been doing various regimental exercises to prepare myself for the enlistment. went swimming (after a very long time) and gym.

definitely, its been just going out going for various practices and upon the advice of Ms K, doing things that you wanted to do but has always been delayed because of school commitments. yes, like staying up late at night often, joined a percussion band, went on an eating spree, but have yet to go on a holiday, and it looks like its not going to materialise.

for these past few days, have been going out quite often, from the sitex show to the john little sale to the creative sales. its been a hectic weekend. i wanted to buy alot of things:
1) the south africa rugby jersey
2) creative zen vision
3) a black specs for NS
4) a new pair of sneakers
5) a few pairs of jeans
6) new clothes
7) sony vaio laptop/macbook
8) audio technica headphones
9) canon digital SLR
10) a new pair of football boots

hahaha, it seems alot of things, but slowly once i get my pay, i'm going to save up to buy these things. furthermore, the apple macbook in hongkong is cheaper by about $400 i heard than in singapore and so since the warranty is international, might as well buy from there. but really for now the items one and two is the priority.

now, joining a percussion band was one that i had wanted to join for quite some time. the experience is totally a different one compared to other bands that i've joined. music was freestyle and we were encouraged to showcase our individual ability within the rythm and beat that was provided. it was cool playing pop music, samba and other beats using the world perc instruments. something that i've not tried before. its really a chance for me to learn something new and expand my learning horizon, not just on academics but also life.

starting to miss my classmates of A6. they've been a cheery lot, with all the stupid antics of eilania and kwan, just to name a few. went out after the last lit paper to the heeren's vil'age. yeah i know its not halal, but i didnt eat there. with the forcing of the girls, went to BK to buy my food before heading to vil'age to eat by smuggling the food in. haha, it was quite fun at last i went out with my classmates for the first time i think! anyway, made a lot of stupid but funny laughing rolling on the floor jokes, everybody contributed to the fun. took neoprints which i can remember clearly sylvia was reluctant to do. hahahahah. the neoprints were memorable pictures of us 8 people cramming into one small space with christian taking quite a space. haha, joking only. then went to rachel lim's place to don't know do what and in the end, everybody had to go home early. i dont know why.

i believe my classmates deserve a tribute from me right? okay, in the next post i'll post more about the very A6 of sajc.

over, and out.

it's almost over. good.

now time to concentrate on having fun. don't want to think about results yet. soon entering NS. shiok. must start running, going gym, swimming. building up stamina, oh great. anyway, none of what i'm going to say will have anything to do with studies.

okay, hey sajcband j2 guys(+deborah) when are you all free? can you all please contact me? kenny really wants to play a testimonial match before the early entrants that is before 13 december (correct? poon shi?) yupp. so you all please contact me when you're free and tell me the dates that you all can make it. so i can book the field. most probably the st wilfred's small pitch like for five a-side. unless you all want to play in school. up to you all but please if you message me state which DATE and VENUE. thanks! please do it asap, it would be much appreciated. then we can give those early entrants a good send off.

proposed match will be against the J1s to get revenge! the 12-11 loss ( haha, weird score) anyway, yupp please get back to me asap, if not kenny will be damn sad.

on a different note, i'm going on a holiday. hahaha going to kota kinabalu i heard. no time to travel further and lazy to travel also la, need to train all that. i maybe off from the 28th nov to 3rd december around there. so definitely its not a good choice. then the J1s will be having a band camp from 3rd to the 7th dec. take note!! so most prob we can play between the 9th and 12th.

thank you so much.

i didnt really celebrate the end of the exams. i hope tmr i can join up with my sec 4 batch mates for dinner, with nothing else disturbing me. oh ya. just now at my place there was an accident involving a cyclist and a lorry driver at the car park. the cyclist a china man was knocked down and flew with his head hitting the side curb. sad sia then his head was gashed with deep cuts. got knocked out but soon woke up then frantically wanted to move and go away but was pinned. funny thing though, the ambulance came like so late about 20 mins. the china man refused to be treated and wanted to moved. so they had to tie him to the stretcher and that also he wanted to free himself. sad sia. and some more my dad said he maybe an illegal immigrant. so its a double blow.

life goes on.
